We at VILLA SANYANGA and TIGER MARINE CHARTER here on the Island of PHUKET have of course pressed our PAUSE button BUT NOT the STOP button ! In other words we are ready when the game changes, The Villa and boats are all immaculately maintained , all our experienced staff are in tact.
Our advise is NOT to book any flights , we have all read the postings of people trying to get money back from Airlines to no avail. The Airlines are not operating , the borders are sealed everywhere and we have to be patient and wait for the governments to open up their borders which in turn will open up the airlines , then you weigh up the safety of the country you want to visit and make your decision and bookings from there.
Depending on what news channel you follow or which tabloid or social media system you are on its all conflicting.
Our policy is to stay POSITIVE , it will come right , we just don’t know when . But when you compare the beginning of March to what we see today its hugely different.
Each country apart from what I can see is improving, apart from USA,UK and Russia. Here in THAILAND its improving at a cautiously good rate and whilst we invisage that its not going to happen anytime soon we are confident that year end tourism will be back albeit at a slower pace .
The Tourism authority of Thailand ( TAT ) are presently looking at this as I type and year end coincides with our best time of year.
