Daytrips on Hakuna Matata
Island Hopping – Maithon Island
Our favourite and most popular cruise is our “ Maithon run”. A three island hop. First to the Kai islands in the morning – if you like seafood, here we pick up fresh fish, squid and prawns to cook on the BBQ, fried rice and corn on the cob. The crew will make a salad to serve with this, and you have a magnificent lunch. Could not be fresher! Maithon waters are great for snorkelling, as they are turquoise and crystal clear. There are two family pods of dolphins there too, which our guests manage to see 90% of the time. On the way back, the boat can call in at Ko Rang yai or Ko Phe
We guarantee you will have a fantastic day!
Island Hopping 2 – Phang Nga Bay
This beautiful Marine National Park is world famous, with spectacular limestone cliffs towering out of the sea. Kayaking in the caves is very popular here, and you can hire them for 500 baht. Then you can cruise to James Bond Island – whether you go ashore here or not is up to you. After that the crew will inflate the jacuzzi where you can sit and float and relax and have a beer and some lunch.
On this route you choose your onboard lunch from the menu below.
Overnight’s on Hakuna Matata
This itinerary is just a guide-line, and will depend the prevailing tides, weather, winds and currents on the days of the cruise. Our team will pick you up from your hotel at a pre-arranged time and take you to the the departure Marina. Board HAKUAN MATATA and enjoy a welcome drink, and the crew will show you your cabins. Sailing south for the lovely Kai Islands. Anchor off the islands for pre lunch drinks on the upper deck followed by a delicious Thai buffet lunch, and enjoy snorkelling and swimming in the crystal clear water around these islands. Anchor off this beach for the night, and celebrate in style, dining under the stars, with a delicious seafood Barbecue and exotic dishes prepared by our crew. After lunch, set sail for Yao Yai island, to our beautiful “secret” beach, where we can set up beach games, and you can enjoy kayaking, and relax in our two floating Jacuzzis, or have fun on the giant waterslide, use the SUPs – or swim out to our pontoon. The crew will set up hammocks in the shade of the trees lining the beach, light the BBQ, and set the table for your evening candle-light dinner, under the stars. Enjoy evening cocktails on the upper deck, or sundowner drinks on the beach, enjoying the view and the peace of a deserted island.
Spend the night anchored off this island beach, and wake in the morning to a fresh fruit smoothie or perhaps an iced mocha coffee, and soak in the lovely surroundings. Embark on a slow cruise heading north to the famous Phang Nga Bay to view the spectacular limestone cliffs towering out of the sea, and explore the hidden lagoons and hongs by kayak or dinghy. Cruise back to Phuket, perhaps calling in at Naka island, Phae Island or Rang Yai Island, arriving in the marina at a time to be arranged, where our driver will be waiting for you to take you back to your hotel

HAKUNA MATATA name meaning:
“Hakuna Matata” (pronounced [hɑˈkunɑ mɑˈtɑtɑ]) is a Swahili language phrase from East Africa meaning “no worries”. The word “hakuna” means “there is not here” while “matata” means “problems”. The phrase was popularized by the Disney animated film The Lion King (in which it is translated as “no worries” in a song named after the phrase), so that it is heard often at resorts, hotels, and other places appealing to the tourist trade. In 2018, Disney trademarked the phrase in the US causing controversy in East Africa.

And oh, the shame

Thought of changin’ my name
(Oh, what’s in a name?)
And I got downhearted
(How did you feel?)
Every time that I-
